Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s agent has appeared to blame Mikel Arteta for the forward’s lack of form as he failed to hit the back of the net for the fourth league game in a row.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has just two goals in 11 league games this season and four goals in 13 games in all competitions.

He is, we can safely say, not scoring at his usual rate.

That isn’t really a surprise. Going forward Arsenal are a shambles with little creativity and nobody in the midfield to link the play adequately.

It’s also no surprise, then, to read that Auba’s agent, Kwaku Mensah, took to Instagram to highlight the lack of chances being created by this Arsenal side this season.

Against Spurs, Auba played just 15 accurate passes, 100% of the total he attempted. He also got off two shots, one which was off target and the other blocked.

While Auba’s agent certainly has a point, there is no doubt there has also been a change in the player’s attitude. For instance, Auba won none of his four duels and that has nothing whatsoever to do with tactics.

Auba also lost all of his aerials.

There is definitely plenty of blame here to go around.
