The official Sky Bet League Two social media accounts posted on Sunday to confirm their Boxing Day Team of the Week, with Arsenal’s Harry Clarke featuring. Clarke is currently on loan with Oldham Athletic.

Oldham faced Harrogate on Saturday, and Clarke had a very busy day. He made 13 clearances, four interceptions, one tackle, and blocked a shot without being dribbled past once. He also won his only ground duel and over half of his aerial duels.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for his team on the day. Harrogate went away 2-1 winners, and Clarke’s appearance in the Team of the Week won’t be much consolation.

It’s good to see some recognition for another one of Arsenal’s loanees, though.

If you’re wondering why you saw so little about the loanees this weekend, that’s because Clarke was one of very few to feature.

Medley, Coyle, Ballard, John-Jules, McGuinness, and Matt Smith saw their matches cancelled, Olayinka and Osei-Tutu missed out with injury, and Iliev and Tom Smith just weren’t selected. There were no La Liga or Bundesliga matches this weekend either.

Ben Sheaf was the only other player to make an appearance, in a 0-0 draw with Stoke. He played 74 minutes.
