Granit Xhaka has said the Arsenal squad ‘are with’ Nicolas Pepe after his stupidity against Leeds United but it’s not so clear that the fans will be as forgiving.

If anyone knows about annoying Arsenal fans, I guess it’s Granit Xhaka. He also knows if you just wait it out, put your head down and work hard, it will all eventually blow over.
After his red card against Leeds on Sunday, Nicolas Pepe took to social media to publish an apology for his behaviour.
“Yesterday I have let my team down at a crucial time of the game and there is no excuses for my behaviour,” Pepe wrote on his Instagram account.
“I am deeply sorry and would like to apologise to the fans, my team-mates, my coach and everyone else at the club.”

Xhaka then popped up in the comments section to say, “keep going brother. You come back stronger. WE ARE WITH YOU.”

The fact is, Pepe can win the fans back easily. All he has to do is perform consistently well and we will all soon forget about Leeds.
Will he get that chance on Thursday night? Perhaps.
Pepe is reportedly holding talks with Mikel Arteta today (Tuesday). He will be part of the Arsenal squad travelling to Norway for Thursday’s Europa League clash and he would seem nailed on to start given he can’t play in the next three domestic matches and everybody else is knackered already.
