The S*n are now reporting that the former Arsenal youngster, and older brother of Joe, is set to sign for QPR from Benfica after failing to secure first team football in Portugal.

Willock left Arsenal in 2017 when he was out of contract at Arsenal after joining the club aged five.

Suffice to say, it has not worked out for him in Portugal where he has yet to make an appearance for Benfica’s first team, although he has made the bench a few times. He already had two first team appearances for Arsenal before he left in search of first team football.

Willock has spent time on loan with West Brom and Huddersfield but seems set for a permanent return to England with QPR who wanted a replacement for Eberechi Eze who has signed for Everton.

Benfica won’t be too sad about it all as they’ll net around £750k (plus add-ons) for the 22-year-old according to the Daily Mail. They accepted offers from both Huddersfield and QPR but the Terriers were unable to come to an agreement with Willock over personal terms, something QPR seem to have done.

QPR are currently ninth in the Championship after picking up one win and two draws so far this season.
