After coming through the midweek clash with Dundalk relatively unscathed, here’s the Arsenal injury news for Manchester United.
The big boost since the last injury update is that Bukayo Saka is in training. He was a strong doubt after his withdrawal with a knock against Leicester City but appears to be in contention for the trip to Manchester United.
David Luiz is also still potentially available for Sunday’s game. He missed out on Thursday’s squad with a thigh issue, but Arsenal are assessing him for United.
Willian returned to the pitch against Dundalk, after recovering from injury. He’s now available for selection.
Calum Chambers is in full training, but we don’t know exactly when he’ll return to action. Recovering from an ACL injury, we know how long it can take to get fully match sharp again.
We now know for sure that Pablo Mari had a setback in his recovery, but he should be returning to full training soon. The last update we had on October 28th was that he’d return to full training after the November international break.
Rob Holding is making good progress after his hamstring injury and should rejoin full training in the next week.
Gabriel Martinelli is back out on the grass playing with the ball again, but he’s still a way off a full return. Arsenal don’t expect him back until towards the end of the year.
Arsenal injury news for Manchester United summary
That’s Martinelli, Mari, Holding, and Chambers almost certain to miss Sunday’s game, with Saka and Luiz as doubts. Everyone else is back, so that’s good news.
