Sergio Agüero looks likely to miss the next month of football, after picking up an injury not long after a clash with Arsenal for the second time in a row.

Back in June, Sergio Agüero returned from lockdown to appear in Manchester City’s 3-0 win over Arsenal. That return didn’t last long, however, as he picked up a serious knee injury in the first half of the following Premier League game against Burnley.

By October, Agüero was fit again, just in time to face Arsenal. He started in the 1-0 win, before picking up another injury in the first half of the following Premier League game against West Ham.

The Guardian write that the striker is “almost certainly” out for a month after his latest fitness setback. So it seems he’ll be back in time to face Arsenal again in December.

I don’t mean any disrespect to Agüero here. Quite the opposite, I’m wishing one of the league’s top strikers well for a very speedy recovery. Perhaps in time to face Liverpool and Spurs in November, or Manchester United in early December.

If he could play against any other big-six team before his next match against us, that would be fantastic.
