Sergio Aguero is fully fit after his recent meniscus injury and should be in the squad to face Arsenal on Saturday, according to a report.

TyC Sports report that everything is ready for Sergio Aguero’s return – bar Pep Guardiola’s final decision. He finally overcame his meniscus injury over the international break, and he’s now likely to at least make the squad to face Arsenal this weekend.

The striker reportedly played in a training match with the City youth team over the break and scored the winning goal. It’s hard to say whether Guardiola will throw him straight back in, but it’s possible. Particularly as Gabriel Jesus is out of the match.

If you’ve been an Arsenal fan for more than five minutes, you know this ends with Aguero scoring the winning goal this weekend.

Earlier in the week, Sky Sports reported that Kevin De Bruyne was a doubt for the game, after coming off early against England. Guardiola confirmed the midfielder will miss the match.

For the record, Raheem Sterling also pulled out of international duty with ‘injury’ recently. But the total lack of a mention for him in Friday’s press conference suggests he’s fit to play, as Guardiola said “the rest of the players came back well” from internationals.
