After last season, Arsenal made a few changes that currently seems to be working for them.

Moreover, these changes make them a promising candidate for avid sports bettors, especially on football accumulator tips. If you haven’t bet on them yet, here are some reasons to keep an eye on them and look forward to their matches.

1. Promising start

As mentioned, Arsenal has been doing well so far for the current PL season. The team started the season with a victorious Community Shield win over PL champions Liverpool. As a result, this raised hope for the team, the fans, and avid bettors.

So far, the team has won three out of four matches giving them a 75% win rate. This also currently puts them in fourth place with Everton, Aston Villa, and Leicester City leading the tables so far.

Despite the ups and downs from the 2019-20 season, Arsenal seems determined to make a strong revival for the club.

2. Better management

One significant change that Arsenal did was getting a new manager. After seven consecutive losses last season, Arsenal removed head coach Unai Emery last November and hired former Gunner Mikel Arteta.

Although Arteta did not have prior top management experience, he still has a reputable and relevant background after being an assistant coach for three years at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola’s guidance.

When Arteta took the club over, the team lacked quality and depth. However, Arteta was able to guide them to 8th place at the end of the 2019-20 season. Now, his job is to revive the club and make it stronger than before.

Seeing Arsenal’s current performance in the 2020-21 season, the club seems to be in good hands.

3. Stronger defence

Unfortunately, during the transfer window, manager Arteta was given a strict budget which initially suggested he had no choice but to stick with loan signings and free transfers. Despite this, Arteta used the limited budget wisely.

For the past few seasons, Arsenal had a relatively weak defence. That’s why Arteta decided to spend most of their budget in that area. The team signed Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes and Spanish centre-back Pablo Mari.

Arsenal was also able to sign Icelandic goalkeeper Runar Runarsson and Portuguese right-back Cedric Soares on a free transfer from Southampton. However, the club’s best deal was having Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey join the team.

Arsenal’s technical director Edu says on Arsenal’s official website:

“But in the end, if you see all these players we brought to the club, they are very good here (points to legs), but they are better here (points to head) which for me is very important because when you talk to the players, they have a lot of ambition, they are excited and they are hungry to win a title again. This, for me, is important to have in the players to not only be good here (points to legs), but good here (points to head). And they are.”

With the addition of these strong players, fans and bettors can look forward to Arsenal potentially rising to the top.

So far, fans can see that Arsenal is changing for the better. If the club keeps this up, they have a better chance of ranking high this season. For bettors, Arsenal is a promising candidate to place your bets on. Just make sure to research about Arsenal betting odds, players, and matches for a successful and profitable return.
