The Times, The Telegraph and the Independent all report that Thiago Alcantara and Alisson Becker are doubts for the Liverpool clash against Arsenal on Monday.

The two players picked up unknown issues in the last couple of days, forcing them to miss training sessions. They’re not completely out of the match at this stage, but concerns are growing with just over a day to go.

Jordan Henderson picked up a muscle issue in the first half against Chelsea last week, which will keep him out of the game as well. Joel Matip is also missing.

The good news for Liverpool is that Joe Gomez is back in training, so he could return to the backline alongside Virgil van Dijk. That frees up Fabinho to rejoin the midfield in Henderson and Thiago’s absence.

The Alisson injury would leave Liverpool starting Adrian in goal. That’s obviously a downgrade from one of the best goalkeepers in the league, but you just know Thiago and Alisson will both miraculously overcome the doubts to start tomorrow.

It’s a good thing Arsenal also have most of their starting lineup available, after a positive set of injury updates this weekend.
