Jill Roord has returned to Arsenal with a slight knee injury, cutting short her international break.

It is not clear how long Roord will be out for, or if she will miss any action at all, but the injury must have concerned the player and her national team enough to see her return to London.

Leah Williamson also left the England camp for an ‘undisclosed reason’.

Roord, along with Vivianne Miedema have both been nominated for FA WSL Player of the Month while Joe Montemurro is up for the Manager of the Month award.

Roord started the season with back-toback hattricks as Arsenal romped to a 6-1 win followed by a 9-1.
