Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is hinting that his Arsenal contract extension is finally done, almost a month after his initial social media teaser.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang posted another social media hint at an imminent Arsenal contract extension on Tuesday, in the form of a cryptic emoji.

Almost a full month ago, on August 16th, Aubameyang posted “….” along with a sand-timer emoji. Arsenal fans took this to mean he was close to a new deal, and many ensuing reports confirmed this theory.

On Tuesday, however, the player seemingly told the world they can stop waiting. He posted another sand-timer emoji, but this time with all the sand at the bottom of the hourglass. You can see the difference in the tweets below.

For those who prefer to rely on words, instead of emojis, Fabrizio Romano tweeted that “#AubaSigns” and added that the striker turned down two bids to stay with Arsenal.

At this point, only Arsenal’s official announcement remains. Good luck to their Twitter admin, who is unlikely to get replies about much else until they post it.
