Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he doesn’t know where ‘sign da ting’ comes from and we probably shouldn’t tell him it’s from when we all wanted Theo Walcott to sign a new deal.

Theo Walcott was in the form of his life as he entered the last year of his Arsenal contract. Always wanting to play through the middle, Arsene Wenger started to play him there as he tried to get the forward to sign on at the club.

Walcott finally signed in January 2013 and the ink was hardly dry on his new contract when he was shunted back out to the wings while the form we saw Theo produce to get his massive payrise quickly vanished.

That might be a bit harsh on a player who scored over 100 goals for Arsenal but we all know he never truly became the player we thought we were getting from Southampton.

There is, quite simply, no comparison between him and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Both are 31 but one has 270 goals and 84 assists in 523 games and the other has 124 goals and 87 assists in 504 games.

Can you guess which is which?

Anyway, our captain was speaking to the official site and said he didn’t know where ‘sign da ting’ came from.

“I don’t know [where ‘signed da ting’ came from], from the fans I think!” Aubameyang told Arsenal.com. “They asked me every day for a few months and finally I ‘signed da ting’, so I’m really happy.”

Here you go, Auba,…just for you, here’s where it came from…sorry!
