Despite denials, foreign media outlets continue to insist that the likes of AS Roma and Schalke are in for Sead Kolasinac this summer.

AS Roma and FC Schalke 04 are both in the race to sign Sead Kolasinac from Arsenal this summer, according to various reports.

Just yesterday, we covered reports from England that Kolasinac wasn’t in talks to leave Arsenal. Mark Mann-Bryans claimed there were no offers or negotiations for the player, who remained ‘happy to stay’ in North London.

Outlets in Italy and Germany remain insistent that there’s something in it, though.

Sky Sport Germany claim Roma are targeting Kolasinac this summer. They wanted to sign him in the January window, and are ready to make another move.

Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) write that Roma have been following Kolasinac for a couple of seasons now. They expect him to cost around €15m, which is affordable for the Serie A club.

Bild claim Schalke are thinking about bringing the left-back to Germany again. Their sporting director reportedly met with Kolasinac at a restaurant recently to discuss a deal. But they could only afford a loan move if Arsenal covered part of his wages.

So Roma look the much more likely of the two, but it’s still very possible there’s nothing in the rumours. We’ll need to wait for some more reliable outlets to confirm Kolasinac’s plans for the future.
