Lucas Torreira is back fit and available for selection again, after a successful return to training and tests from the Arsenal medical staff.

After a few months out with an ankle injury, Lucas Torreira returned to full training this week. There were still some doubts about his exact return date, however. Mikel Arteta confirmed pre-Norwich Torreira needed another scan to make sure the bone healed completely before a return to competitive match action.

It appears the results of that scan were positive. Arsenal now write that Torreira is “fit and available for selection” ahead of the trip to Wolves. Whilst I wouldn’t expect him to make the starting lineup immediately (like Cedric Soares didn’t), that’s good news.

In other injury updates, there was no injury to Shkodran Mustafi despite his half-time substitution against Norwich. Mesut Özil is still a doubt for the upcoming matches with his back problem.

Bernd Leno will return to training in around four weeks. Calum Chambers and Gabriel Martinelli will miss the rest of the season, and Pablo Mari is out for two-to-three months.

A positive update overall. With David Luiz and Cedric returning to the pitch on Wednesday, that’s three players off the list this week and no new additions. Arsenal need all the help they can get in the upcoming fixtures.
