Estadio Deportivo claim Sevilla director of football Monchi is keeping track of Hector Bellerin for a summer move. Right-back is a priority for the club to reinforce the team, due to the lack of alternatives to Jesus Navas.

ED relay reports that Bellerin is potentially on the market this summer, with Arsenal open to a sale. Monchi already contacted the player’s representatives to establish his availability. However, Sevilla aren’t the only club in the race, with Juventus and Inter Milan also following the defender.

Bellerin still has a contract with the Gunners until 2023, after agreeing to a huge six-and-a-half-year deal with the club back in 2016.

After recovering from his ACL injury in late 2019, Bellerin is up to 22 appearances in all competitions this season. The problem for him is the competition he now faces from Cedric Soares and even Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The two alternative options are performing well, whilst Bellerin is still struggling to recapture his best form. He’s showing glimpses, like with the beautiful long ball to Alexandre Lacazette against Leicester City on Tuesday, but it’s not consistent.

You do wonder whether Arsenal will keep faith in a full recovery or cut their losses this summer.
