Arsenal are offering Matteo Guendouzi out to Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and ‘many’ other clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Writing in a comment on Instagram, Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal offered Matteo Guendouzi out to Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and many other clubs. At this stage, he doesn’t give any indication over whether they actually want the midfielder.

In their print edition, L’Equipe (via SempreInter) also report interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but they add that Inter Milan hold an interest in the 21-year-old. However, the most concrete talks with Guendouzi’s representatives were with Barcelona.

Guendouzi doesn’t want to make any final decisions until the end of the season, though. He plans to consider his options carefully and only complete a transfer if he thinks it will help him make it into France’s European Championship squad next summer.

The player is reportedly training alone at the moment, as Arsenal plan their next step. His attitude didn’t impress Mikel Arteta or Edu in training and in recent meetings. Nor is he isn’t taking the opportunity to apologise for his behaviour.

As a result, the club are looking at potential swap deals. They want to bring in Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid this summer, so that’s one possibility. It seems we shouldn’t expect any real progress until the end of the month.
