Juventus and Atletico Madrid are in contact with Alexandre Lacazette over a possible summer move, according to reports in France.

L’Equipe report that Juventus and Atletico Madrid are both in contact with Lacazette ahead of the summer window. Inter Milan are also showing some interest, with Lautaro Martinez’s potential exit.

The other two are ahead in the race right now, though. They’re both in talks with Lacazette and open to a swap deal with Arsenal to get it done.

According to the report, discussions are already ongoing with ‘relevant parties’. However, Juventus and Atletico both know they’ll need to wait until the end of the season for formal talks with Arsenal. The Gunners are refusing to do business until then.

From Atletico, it’s pretty obvious Arsenal would be looking at Thomas Partey. L’Equipe say as much themselves. The Gunners are already reportedly on the midfielder’s case, and they were searching for a way to afford the deal. A swap with Lacazette could suit both sides.

It’s harder to say which player Arsenal would pursue in a swap deal with Juventus. The Serie A side undoubtedly have some top players, but few you’d think they’d swap for Lacazette that would actually improve the Gunners.

The media linked Arsenal with Merih Demiral in January, but then he suffered an ACL injury. Honestly, I’d rather we stop our transformation into a care facility for defenders with ACL problems.

Regardless, it’s looking more and more likely Arsenal will have a buyer if they do look to move Lacazette on.
