Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored and assisted again for Roma on Wednesday night as the Arsenal midfielder continues to show a form he never managed to find in England after Jose Mourinho ruined him at Manchester United.
Despite suffering a number of injuries this season, Mkhitaryan’s goal and assist against Parma took him to eight league goals and four assists in 18 games.
In total, he scored nine goals (with 13 assists) for Arsenal in 59 games during his time as a Gunner.
A goal down after nine minutes, Mkhitaryan’s involvement was crucial in helping Roma take all three points to stay ahead of Napoli on goal difference.
They currently sit fifth in Serie A, seven points behind Napoli in fourth.
Mkhitaryan will join Roma permanently this summer but Arsenal will not receive a fee for the player despite him having another year left on his contract in London.
You can read more about how that works, and why Arsenal would agree to such a deal, here.
