Nacho Monreal and Santi Cazorla had a heartwarming reunion ahead of the game between Villarreal and Real Sociedad on Tuesday night.
Former Gunners Monreal and Cazorla faced off against each other in La Liga on Tuesday, but they had a touching reunion in the tunnel ahead of the game.
The tunnel cam at El Madrigal picked up Monreal chasing his former teammate down before they shared a warm embrace and a chat.

Unsurprisingly, the Arsenal fans loved it. It’s great to see the pair doing well, if perhaps also a little sad that it’s off in Spain. Mikel Arteta’s side showed at the weekend they could probably both do a job for us right now.
Here are some of their reactions:
There is a decent argument that both of them would walk into our starting 11 right now 😪 https://t.co/XgEkfIQC5u

Even some of Arsenal’s rival supporters seemed to enjoy the video:
Why do I have the biggest smile on my face rn? I don’t even have an attachment to either of these players https://t.co/hENsWZzhjS

As for the match, Monreal and Real Sociedad ended up on the winning side of a 2-1 result, though Cazorla did score Villarreal’s goal. The two clubs both look likely to qualify for the Europa League next season.
