They write,”Arsenal is said to be eager for the transfer to be completed and has asked that JJSports, the representatives of Partey travel to London for final talks to take place.

“If things go on smoothly, there could be some big announcement coming in from England by the close of next week.”

About 10 days ago, Spanish journalist Antonio Ruiz reported that Arsenal are the best-placed team to sign Partey as things stand, with his current club Atletico Madrid starting to give up on keeping him.

Fabrizio Romano also provided an update at the same time, writing that four clubs made contact with Partey regarding a move. The player was said to be still in talks with Atletico over a new contract as well, but with no decision made and his ‘destiny’ apparently in the Premier League, Arsenal could be moving into pole position.

After that, it all went a little quiet.

Until now.

It is believed that Arsenal have offered to triple Partey’s salary to lure him to the Emirates. As he’s on around £43kpw in Spain, that would mean an offer in the region of £130kpw.

In terms of fee, the move is expected to cost in the region of €50m, if it happens.

If.
