Arsenal announced their deal for Soares on Wednesday morning when they also confirmed three other deals.

Although Soares has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal since signing on loan from Southampton in January, the club are expecting him to return from his broken nose after this weekend’s game against Sheffield United.

In the meantime, the player, who was available for free, is now an Arsenal man.

Prior to signing for Arsenal, Soares made 138 appearances for Southampton, scoring three goals with 11 assists.

He has also played for Sporting CP (94 appearances, two goals, 12 assists), Académica Coimbra (29 appearances), and Inter Milan (nine appearances).
