Chelsea are reportedly confident they can land former Arsenal target, Ben Chilwell, while Leicester apparently think they can tempt Kieran Tierney to the King Power to replace him.

Now, I know Leicester have won the league far more recently than Arsenal, but beyond that, can you give me one good reason why Kieran Tierney, who has played just 299 minutes for the Gunners since his summer move from Celtic, should go play with Jamie Vardy?
It’s hardly likely to be wages or the glamour of the city, no offence to Leicester, which I hear is a grand place.
At Arsenal, Tierney reportedly earns around £45kpw, triple what he was on at Celtic. He is earmarked to be the number one in his position for many years to come and has a long-term contract.
Leicester want around £80m for Chilwell – the same as they got for Harry Maguire. That’s the problem with Manchester United. They pay stupid money for stupid players making stupid clubs think they can get that for all their players.

But that’s a whole different discussion that belongs in a pre-pandemic world.
Arsenal have been linked with Chilwell in the past and Leicester think that they can make a ‘swift’ agreement with Arsenal for Tierney or Southampton for Ryan Bertrand to replace him.
Good for them.
Tierney has another four years on his Arsenal contract.
