ESPN claim Alexandre Lacazette is planning talks with Arsenal over his future. He’s not pushing for a transfer, but he wants assurances over his role in the team under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal don’t plan to lose Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, with Arteta pushing to convince the latter to sign a new deal. However, they may still make Lacazette available to raise funds for summer transfers.

Atletico Madrid maintain an interest in Lacazette, despite closing in on a permanent deal for Alvaro Morata from Chelsea. On the other side of things, Arsenal reportedly want to bring in Thomas Partey from the Spanish club, but they haven’t discussed a swap deal yet.

Lacazette has nine goals and three assists in 26 appearances this season. He seems to be hitting some form at the moment, scoring three in his last four games before bagging a couple of goals in the recent friendly matches.

He needs to keep that up in the final weeks of the season, or you can easily imagine the talks with Arsenal pushing him towards an exit.
