Spanish outlet OD Valencia report that Arsenal recently submitted a significant offer for Levante midfielder Enis Bardhi. They add that ACF Fiorentina and a Bundesliga team are also following the Macedonian 24-year-old.

Bardhi has been a regular starter for Levante this season, making 28 appearances. He has four goals and four assists in those matches, splitting his time between central midfield and the left flank.

He’s also a regular for Macedonia, though he plays more of a defensive midfield role for his country. He has a contract with Levante until 2022.

There’s no indication of exactly how much Bardhi would cost, nor how much Arsenal are offering. The description of the offer suggests it’s a fee worthy of consideration, at least.

Arsenal do need reinforcements in midfield, and given the current financial restrictions, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them move for a slightly lesser-known player from one of the smaller teams in the top leagues. Whether Bardhi is the player to transform a midfield that desperately needs to add some goals is up for debate.
