L’Equipe (via Sport Witness) claim Pini Zahavi is working on behalf of Morgan Sanson to offer him out to Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Sanson dreams of a move to England, which is why he got in touch with Zahavi.

The player’s current club, Marseille, are having financial difficulties. As things stand, they’re in next season’s Champions League, but to avoid FFP issues they need to raise around €60m through player sales.

Marseille want €35-40m for Sanson as a result, but Zahavi made it clear to them they’re asking too much. Presumably, neither Arsenal nor Tottenham could afford that kind of fee right now.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard reports linking Arsenal to Sanson. Back in 2018, the player’s agent Michael Manuello told the media both Spurs and Arsenal were looking at his client. That’s presumably why Zahavi is now offering him to the same clubs.

Now 25, Sanson scored five goals and assisted five from central midfield in 30 appearances this season. He helped Marseille up into second place before the LFP cancelled Ligue 1 early.

Arsenal could use a signing in central midfield, but only at a price they can actually afford. Until Zahavi and Marseille decide on a fair fee, don’t expect much progress here.
