Manchester United have reportedly offered 16-year-old forward, Joe Hugill, a £1,200k-per-week contract to Sunderland striker and believe that will be enough to see of the likes of Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham, Liverpool, Wolves, and Leeds who have all been interested in the academy striker.
The teenager scored three goals in seven games for the Sunderland u18s and u23 Premier League 2 side and Manchester United believe their offer will be seal the deal ahead of the others who were interested. He scored two in three for their u23s during the 19/20 season before it was cut short.
The player, who turns 17 in the autumn, will turn professional while United are believed to be offering an initial fee in the region of £250,000 for the player.
Leeds United are still said to be trying to ‘hijack‘ the deal, however it seems as if the 6ft 2 forward will be Old Trafford-bound this summer.
