Mundo Deportivo report that Atletico Madrid are looking at various potential options to replace Thomas Partey this summer, including Napoli’s Allan Loureiro and Getafe’s Mauro Arambarri.

Arambarri looks the less likely of the two, due to his €25m release clause and an unwillingness from the Getafe president to sell at any kind of discount.

By comparison, Allan is somewhat out of favour and an exit is a real possibility. He actually has an even higher release clause, at €38m. However, in his case, Napoli are willing to negotiate a lower fee.

MD write that Arsenal ‘seem determined’ to push to sign Partey this summer. They claim that the more time passes, the more likely it is the player decides to move on. Atletico are still trying to extend and improve his contract, but that’s up to him now.

Various reports confirm Arsenal are certainly keen on Partey, and that he’s open to a move. It’s still a long shot in the current environment, but you never know.
