Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on signing 17-year-old winger Amad Traore, currently making his breakthrough to senior football with Atalanta.
Goal report that Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus are all taking an interest in Traore, given his fine form this season.
Traore made his debut for Atalanta in Serie A in October, and scored within seven minutes of taking to the pitch. He’s only up to 24 minutes of senior football so far, but he’s impressing with the youth teams.
In 24 appearances for Atalanta u19s and Atalanta Primavera this season, Traore has seven goals and 11 assists.
The teenager provided two assists in a 2-1 win to lift the Supercoppa Primavera (above). He scored and assisted against Manchester City in the UEFA Youth League. Plus, his domestic goals and assists helped Atalanta Primavera to the top of their table.
Traore even provided an assist in his brief 30-minute cameo in the Coppa Italia Primavera, despite defeat. He’s having an excellent season and it’s no surprise the top clubs are circling.
Goal add that Traore’s immediate aim is to establish himself in Serie A. He also has the opportunity to represent Italy internationally when he obtains citizenship.
There are evidently reasons to stick around. Arsenal will be watching his progress closely, though.
