Mark Hendry reports in The Herald that a whole host of Premier League clubs are in the race for Daniel Kelly, including Arsenal. Manchester United, Leicester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all also get a mention.

Kelly reportedly impressed scouts in the Sheffield Trophy as Celtic finished runners up, scoring a couple of goals on the way. Despite his age, he’s already featured as high as the u18s.

As a result, his current club are trying to tie him down with a pre-professional contract.

The left-footed midfielder plays a box-to-box role for Celtic. Unsurprisingly at his age group, there’s still some flexibility when it comes to positions. He also occasionally features at left-back, but midfield is where he’s strongest.

Here’s a goal scored by Kelly from a couple of years ago:

Arsenal are always on the lookout for young talent to add to the academy ranks. We’ll see if they can fight off the competition and convince Kelly to leave Celtic for North London.
