Ramsey spoke about Saka in a recent Instagram Live, answering a question on the young winger.

“He’s been unbelievable this season with so many assists,” Ramsey said. “He’s been creating so many chances and that too from a deeper position from where he bursts forward. He has had a great season so far.”

The two players didn’t spend a huge amount of time on the pitch together before Ramsey left for Juventus.

They played seven minutes of league football, four minutes of cup football and never appeared together in Europe. Saka actually came on for Ramsey on his Europa League debut.

As a result, most of Ramsey’s experience watching the youngster comes from outside. They obviously spent time together in training, but the Welshman has been as impressed as the rest of us watching the 18-year-old’s progress from afar.

Saka had three goals and 10 assists in 29 appearances before the league shutdown.

Obviously, Arsenal fans will hope Saka’s current contract talks turn out better than Ramsey’s did in the end. Instead, they’ll be hoping Saka follows the former Gunner’s example in another sense, by staying for 10+ years and scoring a couple of cup-final winners.
