Football Insider claim Arsenal are joining Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Lamare Bogarde. Both clubs are closely monitoring the player’s progress. The Gunners are now reportedly willing to ‘blow their bitter rivals out of the water’ to sign him first.

Arsenal and Spurs are each on hold right now, though, waiting to see how plans unfold for the remainder of the season. Obviously, the conclusion to the campaign will heavily impact their priorities and funds available.

That’s less likely to affect a deal for a young talent than a more experienced signing, though. We’ve seen Arsenal pick up the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Matteo Guendouzi for under £10m in recent seasons.

If Bogarde is available for a similar sort of fee, that’s not the kind of transfer the football shutdown will completely rule out.

Bogarde is currently a regular for Feyenoord’s u17 team. He’s up to 19 appearances for the campaign, scoring a couple of goals and assisting four from deep in midfield. He also made his debut for the Netherlands u16s earlier this season.
