Arsenal hold an interest in Norwich City right-back Max Aarons as they search for an alternative to Hector Bellerin, according to a report.

Soccer Link report that after a strong season, Max Aarons is attracting plenty of interest around the Premier League, including from Arsenal. The Gunners are looking at him as an ‘alternative’ to Hector Bellerin at right-back.

The report claims Everton pushed for a transfer last summer, whilst Manchester United looked at him as a backup for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Jose Mourinho (whilst with Spurs) contacted the player personally over a move.

Before that, however, Aarons was a regular in the Norwich City side. He made 27 league appearances, playing 90 minutes in all-but-two of Norwich’s 29 games. He also played the full 120 minutes as his team knocked Spurs out of the FA Cup.

The right-back is a strong dribbler and passer, as well as solid defensively. He doesn’t have the strongest aerial presence, standing at around 5’8″, but that’s normal for full-backs. Given his age (20), he certainly has a lot of potential.
