Arsenal are one of a few clubs to make contact with the representatives of teenage defensive midfielder Noah Francoise, according to reports.

Foot Mercato (via GFFN) report that PSG, Arsenal and Sevilla all recently made contact with the entourage of 16-year-old Rennes midfielder Noah Francoise.

Francoise is yet to sign his first professional contract with his current club. As a result, plenty of teams are trying to take advantage by luring him away first. They’d only have to pay a relatively small compensation fee to complete a deal.

The 16-year-old is in double figures for appearances for the France u16s, captaining the side on at least five occasions. His goal against Austria won France the u16 International Tournament of Val-de-Marne in 2018.

The youngster also made his debut for the France u17s this February.

In addition, Francoise appeared throughout Rennes’ UEFA Youth League knockout stage matches, scoring in their most recent win over Club Brugge. Most of his midfield work is on the defensive side, though.

Unfortunately, Francoise’s run in the Youth League was cut short by the current shutdown. Rennes’ match against Inter Milan is now off. It seems he did enough before that to catch Arsenal’s eye, so we’ll see what happens this summer.
