Calciomercato report that Arsenal make the list of clubs chasing Marchwinski at the moment. They add that the Gunners previously took the teenager on trial.

Marchwinski only turned 18 in January, but he has a number of senior appearances under his belt in Poland. He’s up to 18 appearances for Lech Poznan’s second team and 24 for the main side.

Only six of those 24 appearances were starts, so he’s not a total regular yet. All the same, he has five goals and an assist in his minutes so far.

The attacking midfielder can also play across the front line, including as a false nine. Inter Milan are one of the other favourites for his signature, along with Juventus and Atalanta. Hoffenheim, Ajax and Borussia Dortmund are also following him from around Europe.

Arsenal actually have a fair few young forwards at the moment. There’s Gabriel Martinelli, Folarin Balogun and Tyreece John-Jules up front, then Emile Smith Rowe, Joe Willock and Ben Cottrell in attacking midfield, among others.

Marchwinski is clearly catching their eye, though, so we’ll see if it leads to anything.
