Greek outlet SDNA report that Mady Camara impressed Mikel Arteta during the recent tie between Arsenal and Olympiacos. Arteta reportedly asked for further information on the player afterwards.

SDNA claim it’s a possibility Arsenal are joining the race for Camara, with Sheffield United previously making a bid for him. Olympiacos are unwilling to sell for less than €20m.

Camara played in both legs of the Europa League clash with Arsenal, and he was particularly good in their home game. The defensive midfielder won six of seven ground duels that day, as well as three tackles, and he completed five of seven long balls.

In all competitions, Camara is up to 37 appearances this season. The Guinea international also regularly features with his country. He made two appearances in their two fixtures over the most recent November break.

At 23 years old with a contract until 2023, Olympiacos are probably in no rush to sell. We’ll find out if Arsenal really hold an interest in the player this summer.
