Mikel Arteta could be keeping an eye on Manchester City teenager Jayden Braaf amid questions over the winger’s attitude, according to a report.

James McNicholas suggested in The Athletic that Mikel Arteta could perhaps be keeping an eye on 17-year-old Jayden Braaf. There are suggestions Pep Guardiola isn’t a fan of the player’s attitude, and he’s struggling to get chances in the City first team.

Playing on the wings (a mix between left and right), Braaf has 11 goals and three assists in 26 games this season. He has a contract to 2022 and a City academy source reportedly said he could be an £80m player one day.

If Arsenal are keeping an eye on Braaf, they got a first-hand look at him in the recent match between their u23s and City’s at the Emirates Stadium. The young winger was one of the scorers in a 4-2 win for the away side.

Picking up the ball on the right-hand side, Braaf ran at Zech Medley before cutting onto his left foot and finding the net. It wasn’t the most impressive finish, but it was enough to beat the goalkeeper. That’s what he does at his best, take defenders on and go for goal.

Obviously, there are comparisons to Jadon Sancho. Then again, Arsenal couldn’t get the actual Sancho to join with Arsene Wenger in charge. Why would City be any more likely to let Braaf leave for North London after that previous situation went so badly for them?
