Three Arsenal loanees made appearances on Saturday, with Osei-Tutu starting for VfL Bochum, Smith Rowe for Huddersfield Town and Sheaf for Doncaster Rovers.

There could have been even more appearances, but injuries to Tyreece John-Jules, James Olayinka (who should be back soon) and Dejan Iliev cut the figure in half.

Jordi Osei-Tutu vs Darmstadt

Osei-Tutu impressed in Bochum’s 4-4 draw last week, earning another start. He had another decent game away to Darmstadt this time around.

Playing at right-wing, the 21-year-old created two chances, completed 86% of his passes and won a match-high four free-kicks. Clearly, he was causing a lot of problems. Unfortunately, the match ended 0-0.

Ben Sheaf vs MK Dons

Sheaf started in an away win over MK Dons, playing 71 minutes before his substitution. He completed over 90% of his passes, created a chance and made a couple of tackles and interceptions, though he did struggle a bit in the individual duels.

Emile Smith Rowe vs Leeds United

Smith Rowe had the biggest test by far, up against a high-flying Leeds United side. He was in good form going into the game though, performing well in a couple of important wins for the relegation battlers.

He made a couple of chances for the away side and had a shot on target on the day. The shot from outside the area caused the goalkeeper problems, and he spilt it into a dangerous area, but nobody capitalised.

Smith Rowe played 72 minutes but couldn’t help his team avoid a 2-0 defeat.
