After the final whistle following Arsenal’s win over Everton on Sunday, there was a series of shots from Getty Images that caught my attention featuring Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi and Mikel Arteta.

They were both, it seems, taken at the same time by Catherin Ivill after the final whistle.

In the first, you can clearly see that Xhaka is quite angry with Mustafi about something. Ask any expert, they’ll tell you that’s a genuine emotion being displayed by Xhaka while Mustafi is doing a classic ‘what could I do?’ shoulder-shrug.

Xhaka is furious for some reason…

Then, Mikel Arteta appears and suddenly things change between the two of them…
