LincolnshireLive report that Tyreece John-Jules dropped out of the Lincoln starting lineup against Accrington Stanley on Saturday thanks to a toe injury. It was the first time he hadn’t made the squad in a month of League One football.

The last game John-Jules missed, a home match against Bolton, was also due to injury. On that occasion, it was a groin problem. Clearly nothing too serious though, as the striker was back in the team by the weekend.

We’re now hoping for another speedy return and another goal in his comeback game.

Though John-Jules scored in that first game post-injury against Blackpool, on January 18th, the goals dried up after that. He hit the woodwork last time out against MK Dons, and a couple of big chances have passed him by in the last few games.

That’s normal for a young striker adapting to senior football. The good news is that he got off the mark early, so he doesn’t have to worry about his first senior goal. He can just focus on his game and taking the next opportunity after his injury clears up.
