Bukayo Saka made WhoScored’s Europa League Team of the Week for the Round-of-32 first leg matches on Thursday.

Bukayo Saka made it into the WhoScored Team of the Week for the Europa League matches on Thursday. Each club still in the competition played the first leg of their first knockout round, so there was quite a lot of competition.
Inter Milan (2 players), Frankfurt (2) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (3) made up most of the side, after comfortable wins for all three of them. Meanwhile, Saka appeared at the left-back spot with his 8.2 rating.

Saka completed all three of his attempted dribbles and won his only aerial duel on the night. He created the winning goal, which went down as a ‘big chance’ in the statistics. The 18-year-old also won three of his four ground duels and made two interceptions.
The winger-turned-defender also won Arsenal’s fan vote for Man of the Match.
Right now, it’s hard to see Sead Kolasinac breaking his way back into Mikel Arteta’s best side. The upside for Arsenal is that there’s certainly no rush to get Kieran Tierney back from injury, whilst Saka is playing so well.
Arsenal actually dominated the Premier League WhoScored Team of the Week over the weekend too. Saka made it in along with Shkodran Mustafi, Nicolas Pepe, Mesut Özil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Things are going pretty well for the team.
