With the winners of the league set to meet the winners of the FA Cup in what is the traditional season opener, the FA are currently considering where to hold the match due to the fact they are hosting the UEFA 2021 Women’s European Championships which takes place between 7 July and 1 August.

It’s not clear yet where the game will be held and that, in part, will be dictated by the teams invoked (if Arsenal win the cup they can’t, obviously, hold the game at the Emirates).

There as been some talk of taking the game abroad but while that option is still said to be on the table, it will not happen (or so they say) in 2021.
