Arsenal posted their team news for Olympiacos on Wednesday, with updates on Pablo Mari, Mesut Özil and Lucas Torreira, among others.

Mari is now ‘available for selection’, after coming through 45 minutes for the u23s unscathed. Özil will miss out for ‘personal reasons’, with others confirming that’s in reference to the birth of his child.

Torreira is a doubt, as he is currently ill. He won’t join the rest of the squad for their flight today, but he might travel in time for the match if he improves.

As for Cedric Soares, Kieran Tierney and Calum Chambers, they’re all still on schedule. Tierney and Soares should make it back into full training by the end of the month. Chambers is out for the long-term with his ACL injury.

Matteo Guendouzi is also back with the squad, after missing out over the weekend, reportedly for disciplinary reasons.

If Torreira misses out, Guendouzi or Dani Ceballos should partner Granit Xhaka in midfield instead. The third midfield spot could go to Ceballos in Özil’s place, but Joe Willock is also a strong candidate. He started in the position in the win over Bournemouth.
