After both PSG and Liverpool lost in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Arsenal (and Hellas Verona) are now the only unbeaten side in 2020 across Europe’s top five leagues.

Arsenal have played eight games in 2020 and they might have only won four of them but they haven’t lost any and that makes us the only top unbeaten side in 2020 when you consider all games played. Hellas Verona, currently 6th in Serie A are also unbeaten, but who even knew they were in Serie A? Not even transfermarkt it seems who mark them down with one defeat even though they have none in 2020:

Yes, things have been that bad for Arsenal fans that we will celebrate this like a trophy. At least until we lose on Thursday night, of course.

And yes, I know this means nothing. Just shut up and either enjoy it if you are an Arsenal fan or go away if you’re not.

We haven’t had much to be happy about over the last few years, let us take our joy where we can find it.

After Olympiacos on Thursday, Arsenal face Everton in what is a genuine six-pointer with the Toffees two points ahead of us in the league.

[For the pedants, Bayern Munich lost to Nurnberg 5-2 on 11 January. It might have only been a friendly, but it was still a defeat. Shut up].
