Arsenal posted their latest injury update on Friday, giving us a sense of how the squad progressed over the winter break. They travelled to Dubai for a training camp in the absence of a game last weekend.

The good news is that Sead Kolasinac, Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka are all available again.

Kolasinac last featured in the away draw against Crystal Palace, after rushing back from his previous ankle injury to make three starts in 10 days. Unsurprisingly, that didn’t end well, but at least he’s back again now.

Nelson also made his last appearance against Palace, before suffering a hamstring strain in training.

As for Saka, he didn’t miss any games with his injury. He picked up a knock against Burnley and had to come off at half-time, but it clearly wasn’t anything serious.

Unfortunately, Pablo Mari won’t make it in time for the Newcastle game. He’s building his fitness after his holiday, due to the Brazilian season ending in December. Arsenal write that he’s aiming to be ready for the Olympiacos match on Thursday.

As for Arsenal’s other January signing, Cedric Soares is out until the end of the month. He’s aiming to join full training by the end of February, as is Kieran Tierney.

Calum Chambers, as we know, won’t return this season. Other than him, it sounds like everyone should be back in March or sooner.
