Samuel Umtiti attended the Arsenal victory over Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, per his Instagram story.

Arsenal won 2-0 against Manchester United on Wednesday, their second of three consecutive games at the Emirates Stadium. Samuel Umtiti watched on from the stands, supporting his friend and former teammate Alexandre Lacazette.

The Barcelona defender posted a picture to confirm his attendance on his Instagram page.

La Liga is currently in the midst of a winter break, so Umtiti is free to go where he likes. Barcelona only kick off again this weekend against Espanyol.

The centre-back hasn’t found it easy to get gametime for his current club anyway. He’s only up to seven appearances for the season so far.

Part of that is due to continuing injury problems. However, he also made the squad on seven occasions just to sit on the bench.

The Spanish media suggested earlier in the campaign that Barcelona could look to sell in January. Arsenal were in the mix for Umtiti at the time:
