Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has apologised for his challenge on Max Meyer.

The Arsenal captain was rightly shown a red card for a terrible tackle on the Crystal Palace player and after the game Mikel Arteta apologised for it on behalf of the club.

Aubameyang then took to Instagram to issue his own apology.

“Hopefully Max Meyer get well soon,” he wrote. “I really didn’t want to challenge him so hard and i appreciate that the boys fought hard to Take That win but unfortunately we come back with a Draw we keep going.”

Unfortunately, it seems like Meyer might have suffered ligament damage from the tackle, although Palace expect to have more information on Monday.
