Despite claiming that Paul Pogba would be fit to face Arsenal on Wednesday night, the midfielder has reportedly not travelled to London for the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United.

On Tuesday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer passed Paul Pogba fit for the game.

Now, the Manchester Evening news say that he has not travelled with the squad.

Pogba initially picked up an ankle injury in late August. He faced Arsenal in September after making his comeback before the problem flared up again.

In early December, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggested Pogba should be fit before the end of 2019. However, he had another setback with an illness later in the month.

After that, Pogba returned to the pitch for halves against Watford and Newcastle, before missing out on the squad in their last game against Burnley. It was a little bit of a rollercoaster ride to get to this point, but Solskjaer thought Pogba was fit to face Arsenal.

“Yeah, I would think so,” Solskjaer said. “When you’ve been out for such a while, it’s always going to take time to be 100 per cent. He just needed another day, probably, of recovery.”

The Manchester Evening News report, however, that he was not with the Manchester United team that travelled to London nor was he spotted when the team arrived at the Landmark Hotel in the capitl.

The Daily Mail report that United have ‘grown increasingly frustrated with the Frenchman and his agent Mino Raiola”.
