Leicester City and Borussia Dortmund have both bid for Arsenal-linked Juventus centre-back Merih Demiral, according to reports in Italy.

Di Marzio report that Leicester submitted an offer in excess of €30m for Demiral. Meanwhile, Dortmund are up as high as €40m. All the same, Juventus are standing firm for the moment, with the defender’s performances impressing them recently.

Turkish outlet Fotomac (via Sport Witness) reported last week that the most serious interest in the player was coming from Arsenal. If that’s true, you’d expect a bid in response soon enough. Fotomac claim the Gunners could go as high as €50m (£42.6m).

The media first linked Arsenal to a move for Demiral back in early November. They claimed the player was already pushing for an exit despite only recently joining, due to his scarce minutes on the pitch.

Not long after that, further reports suggested Arsenal had already registered their interest in Demiral directly over the summer.

Following those rumours, Demiral started to play more of a part for Juventus. He started all four of their most recent matches in all competitions, after one appearance in 20 games before that.

If he keeps his spot in the team, it’s only going to make a transfer more difficult.
