Arsenal u16 Omari Hutchinson is in excellent form at the moment, and he scored a brace against Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Despite his position in midfield, Omari Hutchinson is a regular scorer for Arsenal u16s this season. The team needed his goals against Crystal Palace, as his brace secured them a point in a 2-2 draw.

The finishes were far from tap-ins though. For the first goal, Hutchinson picked the ball up in his own half. He beat one Palace player, then another to carry the ball down the wing.

With the defence backing off, Hutchinson cut inside, faked a shot to create some space for himself and then found the bottom corner past a diving goalkeeper.

The second goal wasn’t quite as much of a solo effort, but Hutchinson still did most of the work. He played a one-two to get into space on the right, before cutting behind the defender and firing home with his left foot.

The goals drew a lot of praise from Hutchinson’s followers, which is no surprise. Bizarrely, though, former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre also commented on the post:

Hutchinson first broke onto the scene at age 12, when a compilation video of his skills went viral.
