Santi Cazorla will feature as a ‘main actor’ in the Amazon Prime series, ‘Six Dreams’ which looks behind the scenes in Spanish football.
The Arsenal fan favourite is currently delighting fans of Villarreal and his club have given a green-light to the internet giant to feature Cazorla in their second series across six episodes.
It is believed that we will see Cazorla, and his teammates, as they are coached, in the dressing room, at meal times as well as following the 34-year-old in his day-to-day life at home with family and friends.
“For the first time ever, Amazon presents an unprecedented journey into the behind the scenes, real life look into the Spanish Football League (La Liga) through the perspective of six individuals,” IMDB writes.
“Go behind the scenes of the top Spanish football league, LaLiga,” say Amazon of their first series. “Follow a club President, two rising stars, a Sports Director, a Mexican veteran, and a coach, throughout a challenging season. This show is a documentary and presents the content as it was originally captured; viewer discretion is advised. Views featured do not represent Amazon’s perspectives.”
The first series featured Amaia Gorostiza, president of Eibar; Quique Cárcel, sports director of Girona; Iñaki Williams, Athletic striker; Saúl Ñíguez, Atlético midfielder; Eduardo Berizzo, during his time as coach of Sevilla; and Andrés Guardado, Real Betis midfielder.
Billed as a model of humility, charisma and talent, Cazorla is rightly being held up as an example of overcoming adversity with one of the best smiles you will ever see.
It will be aired in Spanish with English subtitles, if required, but a release date has not yet been given.
Season one is, however, still on Amazon to watch.
